The short version: the free edition sends us nothing at all, and the hosted edition holds your figures for you and for nobody else. The longer version is below, and it is short too.

The free edition sends us nothing

It is one file that runs in your browser. Your figures are saved in that browser, or in your own Google Sheet if you connect one, and they go directly there — not through us. We could not show you your own data if you asked, because we do not have it. If you clear your browser data, it is gone; that is why the product keeps telling you to take a backup.

The hosted edition

An account means we do hold something. Specifically:

We do not sell any of it, we do not share it with anybody else, and we do not use it to train anything. Our staff do not read your figures except when you ask us for help with a specific problem and we need to look at the thing you are describing.

When you write to us

Asking for a demonstration or a trial means giving us a name, an email address, a phone number and what business you run. That is used to reply to you and to set the trial up. Email is sent through Google’s Apps Script from our own account — so Google carries the message, exactly as it would any email.

Where it is kept

On Cloudflare’s infrastructure, which stores and serves it from their global network. Photographs are held in Cloudflare R2. If you connect a Google Sheet, a copy of the day goes to your sheet, in your Google account, under your control and not ours.

Cookies, and what we count

There are no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies on this site.

We do use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits — how many people came, which pages they read, roughly where in the world they were. It sets no cookie, it does not fingerprint your browser, and it cannot follow you to any other site; it exists so we know whether writing a page was worth the afternoon. There is no Google Analytics here and no advertising network of any kind.

Signing in stores a token in your own browser so the page knows it is still you. That is what a sign-in needs to work, and it is not used to follow you anywhere.

What you can ask for

A copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. Export is built into the product and needs no permission from us. For anything else write to [email protected] and we will do it within thirty days. Closing an account deletes the figures; the record of what happened is kept for a period afterwards because that is what it is for.

Children

This is a tool for businesses. It is not meant for anybody under 18 and we do not knowingly hold their information.

Changes

If this changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and account holders are told by email.

Questions about any of this go to [email protected], or +91 98466 56000. Daily Audit is run by Akshay Johny, Kerala, India.
